St Paul’s edges Conaree to stay top of Premier Division Featured

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 9th March 2015 (MiyVue.com) – In what was built as a big clash between the top two teams in the league lived up to expectation, as table-toppers St Paul’s FC  a 2-1 victory over second place Conaree FC to remain front runners.

Watched by a fair sized crowd, St Pauls Fc increased their lead at the top of the table to 5 points after Keithroy Freeman netted a double in the 37th & 49th minute on either side of the half. While Conaree’s, Errol O'Loughlin in the 56th minute, was the lone consolation for the second place outfit.

In other action from the weekend, on Friday, Rams Village Superstars and Lime 4G Rockets drew 1-1 at the Newtown ground.

Kimaree Rogers in the 16th minute opened the scoring Rams Village while Javiem Blanchette 65th minute salvaged a point for the Rockets.

Fast Cash SPD United trounced St. Thomas/Trinity Strikers, 3- 0, through goals from Darrel Challenger 50th, Evansroy Barnes 82nd and Glenville Gumbs 86th.

Mantab FC blanketed Harris Paint St. Peters, 2- 0, with Sylvester Alexander and  Kevil Seaton  netting for the  Mantab in 20th and 67th  minute respectively.

Home outfit, Winners Circle Newtown United was edged out by a determined Garden Hotspurs 2-1.

As a Tiran Hanley 90th Minute brace helped Spurs gain all three points up for grabs, with  Dahjal Kelly scoring in the 4th  minute as Yohannes Mitcham 56th minute was the only consolation for the home team.
